Yesterday we attended round 3 of the East Shrewsbury winter series on an ever evolving dirt track. Following recent changes to the track including jumps and elevation changes, it was set to be an awesome day backed up with some great weather.
Graham Alsop took TQ followed by myself in 2nd and young Kieran Cox qualifying p8 directly into the main. I made a couple of changes to my car for the main helping me maintain a gap of approximately 5/6 seconds until the final fuel stop, when Graham pulled away to take a comfortable win. Well done Graham!
Kieran Cox had a final long battle for third managing to take a podium spot during the last laps, making it an XRAY XB8â™16 1,2,3 podium lockout.
There were other XB8 16's looking good throughout the field with Mark Morris narrowly missing the bump to the main following a receiver battery failure with a few minutes remaining.
