| The first X-Race UK was held at the beautiful Cotswolds circuit in Kemble, Gloucestershire. Saturday was workshop day as myself, Olly Jefferies, Greg Hill, Jimmy Maddison and Zak Finlay held a much appreciated set-up seminar session where we explained certain aspects of setting up your car for the wet track conditions, general tips and tricks. We also handed out basic setup sheets for everyone. The track soon dried up, which allowed us to put some practice in! |

Sunday started off with a wet track, and thus, the first rounds of qualifying was run in tricky conditions. Eventually, we got lucky, as the sun came out, and the track dried up well in time for the final and deciding Q4 round (FTD qualifying system was used).
I managed to take the TQ in modified TC and nitro 1/10. Jimmy Maddison was quickest in stock TC, just in front of Zak Finlay.
The finals were run in beautiful weather conditions, allowing for great racing in all classes. In the modified TC class, I won the race with a win in A1 & 3, followed by Olly Jefferies and Marcus Askell in 3rd.

The stock TC class was eventually won by Zak Finlay, after a close race with Jimmy Maddison for the win. It was great to see these guys race it out!
In the triple 15-minute nitro A-finals, I managed to take the overall win once again with a win in A1 & 3, followed by Peter Spratley in 2nd, and Matt Cook in 3rd.
The Formula class saw a dominating performance by the XRAY driver Luke Lee that won the race fairly unchallenged!
