Race report by Jan Ratheisky
Stock:

From the beginning my T4 works very well and I just made small adjustments like a softer diff, less rear toe, wishbone positions and some rear wing fun ;) I was leading the "fastest" heat of Q1 and take it easy. Thought to TQ that run I was surprised that it was "just" a P4 for finals. Changing my tires strategy after that to have some fun at the final I was able to book two 2nd places which set me "just" on P5 for the finals:

A1: Gamble fun. As expected I got some advantage with a fresh set of tires I could push a lot and got some luck with crashes in front to finish 2nd in that final behind a good blocking Tom.
A2: Take it easy or push? PUSH! Happy about my gambling in A1 I decided to fight for the podium. Again I could overtake some guys and also could stay away from crashes I won that Final which granted me the secure 2nd overall that weekend.

A3: Charging for the win... could again overtake very quickly the P4 but got a bit unluckily kicked out. Can happen because it was on a full throttle passage directly after the corner were we drove away from the rostrum. However... very happy with my P2 this weekend and big congrats to Tom Krägefski who won his first ETS race with a TQ in his pocket!

F1:
I started with the Setup I used at the Euros and as expected the car was a little too much understeering so I changed the Ackermann, roll-center and central spring to solve the problem. With a fresh set of tires my car worked really well so I stayed with that setup for the qualis. Unfortunately the handout tires didn’t work so good... however ;) With a bit of luck I was still able to TQ the qualies.
Finals:
A1: With some fresh tires my car worked great and I was able to win the race tone to tone without pressure.

A2: Not touching the car... I got huge unstable rear and I couldn’t block good enough. Still happy to finish 2nd.
A3: All or nothing... I changed a lot on my car to bring back the rear traction but it was still very slippery at the rear. Again I needed to block a lot and a hard charging 3rd place set me under pressure. He was much faster after the fast chicane and I had to go wide to protect my car from crash. Unfortunately the tires came together and we both flew out of the track and gifted David the lead in A3. I tried to catch him in the last laps but he secured his position and kept it until the end. Well-deserved win for David in that final which results in I won overall in front of David.

Modified:

The ETS 2016 came to an end in TrenčĂn. This time with much better results compared to last year since I managed to win the last race and also take the overall win. The car was always perfect, both on carpet and asphalt, it always worked as I wanted it to and the more I was driving the more I believed that I could keep pushing and the car would always respond positively and strongly.

Now it's time to wrap up the knowledge acquired this year and use it to continue improving and fighting for next year title.

I want to say thank you to whole XRAY team for awesome support during this entire season. And I hope to see all of you at the next race!
