The 5th round of the popular XRS series was held at Hudy Arena, in Trencin, Slovakia, on Saturday of 11th March. This facility is famous worldwide for its high standards, and they didnâ™t disappoint this time either, as a fast yet challenging carpet track was laid out on both the on-road and off-road tracks!

More than 100 entries gathered for the event, which was held on a single day, with triple qualifiers and finals, offering the drivers lots of tracktime! The reliable Hudy Carpet Tire (C1) provided great grip along with the spec Hudy Carpet Gripper additive.
In the Modified TC class, I was able to take the TQ in qualifying, narrowly in front of Martin Hudy, who showed great pace all day! The finals were very close, as we battled it out in all three mains. I was eventually able to take the overall win in front of Martin, and the young and talented Oliver Havránek in 3rd!
The Stock TC class was dominated by Oliver Havránek who took the TQ and win. The 2nd place was won by the Polish racer Arkadiusz Smyk! Filip Obora rounded out the podium in 3rd.
The 1/12 Modified class was won by Tomáš Lipták with his XRAY X12â™17! The 1/12 GT and 1/10 Pan Car classes were both won by Andrej Vnučko! And Martin Hudy was victorious in the Formula category with his XRAY X1, taking a convincing TQ & win in that category!

Last XRS Slovakia R5 took place in Hudy Arena. Track layout was almost the same as the last EOS. So I was expecting good racing day, especially because Martin Wollanka signed up for the race too. It was very good practice for both of us. We fought from the first run and the fight was very close. Sometimes it was difficult for us to race because one heat has shown many drivers levels.
Qualification in 2WD ended pretty bad. I made too many mistakes and started from 3rd on the grid. I changed my setup a little for A1 and I was able to overtake everyone and win. Same story in A2 and A3. In the end I was very happy with my car.
In 4WD I won every quali run and all 3 A-mains. Car has been very good.
In truck, I had no competitor because Martin decided to not start in this class so I had an easy win in all mains.
