Our car worked very well from the beginning and in the quallies I won the Q1 and Q2 achieving the TQ overall with the best 5 minutes.
In the finals, I was able to win the A1 and A2 with a comfortable margin winning like this the 3rd Round of ETS.
This race was very good and important for the championship points. Looking forward to the next race in Riccione, Italy.

The third round of the ETS 2016/2017 took place this weekend in Madrid.
During the practice my car was working very well until the end of the weekend. In qualifying I won Q1 and Q2 with a great car and that got me the TQ. In the finals, after a great battle with my teammate Jan I won the A2 and A3.
I am incredibly happy that I won my second ETS !!

Last weekend the RC world travelled to Madrid / Spain for the ETS Round 3 which moved to the outdoor track one race earlier than planned. With totally different conditions in the morning than evening I guess each driver struggled a bit to find the best solution.
Stock: Normally we ran very less toe in to bring the car to the maximum speed on the straight. This time we chose a different approach and made the car a lot more stable. In the quallies I couldn’t found that "last bit" of much needed speed and after Q3 I was in P3 wich I was still very happy with. But for our team strategy we decided to run the 2nd set of tires in the last qualliy. Luckily it paid off and I was able to TQ that round to start overall 2nd on the grid.

The finals... well it was a very hard to follow my teammate Alexandre. With some quick response I got him in the very last corner with a funny move ;) In the last final we were very equal but I was slipping in the last lap and got crashed into from behind (my fault!). Still happy to finish 3rd in that final. All in or nothing! ;) Well let’s say I tried all I can to follow and it didn’t look that bad in the last corner once again. Unfortunately, I lost a little bit rear traction because I pushed too hard which ended in the tire barrier Still just 0.0xxx behind. Super great race! Big congrats to Alex and the whole team that made it to the A-Main!

Formel 1: Found a good pace in practice but struggled a little bit in the quallies. And we tried to solve a problem which wasn’t really a problem. However... we were determined to find it and fix it to the main. A little late... but game on! ;)
Finals: Well, same story as TC Stock. This was my best F1 final this year. Oli and I had a funny battle for the lead after Jitse made a small mistake. It was multiple side by side and lead change. In the end Oli struggled a bit in rear traction and I hit him in the rear a little bit. I felt that I could avoid it so I decided to give the position back. Pushed hard to attack once again but flipped on the curb. 2nd place, still very great ;)
The 2nd final worked a bit easier for me. My car felt better and better and because of mistakes of my competitors I could more or less cruise to the win.
3rd final... once again all or nothing ;) I was able to close the gap to Oli once again and forces him to make a mistake which he finally made.
First win in F1 this year... IM BACK !! ;)
Thank you very much to everyone who stands behind me ! See you on the track ! ^^
