The XB8 was widely seen among the pits, and all XRAY drivers were happy with the car performance and durability. Performance-wise the XB8 was doing extremely well. Yannick Aigoin was dominating the crowd with his XRAY XB8 and setting the fastest lap times no matter if it was raining, if the track was slippery, or if there was high grip. Yannick was unstoppable, achieving the TQ position.

In the semi-final Yannick got into the lead immediately after the start and shortly thereafter was leading by almost one full lap. Unfortunately just before the second planned pitstop Yannick ran out of fuel and stopped just a few meters before the time line loop which means the whole one lap did not count. After the restart Yannick set a brutal racing tempo being a few seconds faster per lap than anybody else and shortly caught back up to the 6th position.

Yannick was already less than 1 meter behind the 4th and 5th car when the racing time ran out just passing the time line; this shattered Yannick's obvious A final hopes. Yannick showed some of the most excellent and unbelievable performance and racing skills which amazed the whole crowd - an excellent show and bad luck at the same time. We are sure Yannick and XRAY will have more luck next time.

The experience and the results of the Euros gave us confirmation that we are on the correct path and we will continue to work very hard to further the development of and improve the XB8. You can expect the very best!
