Race report by Antonio Caroli
From the 12th to the 14th of May 2017 was the second round of the SARDA nationals held at BMR Carpet Track South Africa. It was a two-day event with three heats of qualifying being held on the Saturday and three heats of mains being held on the Sundaz. How Ever due to rain it was held on one day with qualify and mains been reduced to 2 each which put the pressure on for all the competitors

The track was prepared extremely well, traction was good and made for tight fast passed racing.

The two most hotly contested classes 2WD modified and 4WD modified were action packed and it was Charles Hollander who managed to take a TQ and take a 1St place in 2wd with his XRAY XB2 2017and again with his XRAY XB4 TQ and Win in 4wd.
The cars looked extremely good on the high grip carpet.

Well done to all the competitors in these two classes.

It was a great weekend of racing and the drivers are looking forward to the next event to be held at TRAP on a tight technical carpet surface
