Last weekend the last two races of the McBest racing series were held on the narrow track of MRG Dogern. The situation in the championship appeared as follows: At 1/10 Marco Schwab, Dominik Denoth and my teammate Stefan WĂĽthrich were equal on points.
At 1/8 Martin Wenger with his RX8 needed only one good result to drive home his victory in the overall ranking. Beat Heiniger (XRAY) and Stefan Graber fought for 2nd place.

Saturday was wet and the tire choice was a hard one because the conditions kept changing. Handling the wet track best were XRAY pilots Roland Fankhauser, Martin Wenger and Beat Heiniger. My father Roland took home the victory in the 1/10 category!

Stefan WĂĽthrich unfortunately lost a lot of time when a tire left its rim while leading the race. In 1/8 Martin and Beat celebrated an XRAY double win! Therefore Martin Wenger could maintain his title of the year before.

On Sunday the track dried until midday. After 3 seasons of 1/10 I wanted to gain my first experiences in 1/8. Martin Wenger provided me his rain car (RX8 â™16). Martin Wenger prepared it perfectly for every heat. I won my very first race in 1/8 in front of my teammates Wenger and Heiniger! The car worked perfectly! And Beat Heiniger saved himself the 2ndplace in the overall ranking.

1/10: After a failed start, Kevin Lehnherr cleaned up the field from behind and won in front another XRAY pilot, Marcel Knutti. Stefan WĂĽthrich again had bad luck. His car was, while leading again, damaged during a lapping attempt and the chances for victory faded away. He finishes his season on the very good 2nd place.

Altogether it was a very successful racing weekend for Team XRAY Switzerland. All four races were won by XRAY pilots and we got a total of 8 podium finishes! Congratulations to all my XRAY teammates!
