The Czech national Championship took a place this past weekend in Nachod. Friday started with timed practice where I wanted to secure good starting position for qualification. Saturdayâ™s qualifications started under bad rainy weather. I did not have wet tires in the 1st qualification round and finished 2nd in stock, and skipped Q1 in modified. With wet tires I won the 2nd qualification round in stock and did not finish Q2 in modified due to water that got into my regulator, thus I did not continue in modified class.
The weather was better on Sunday but the track was still wet for the final rounds. In stock I started 2nd from the grid, Martin Sponar was in front of me. I won all 3 final rounds and became Czech National Champion 2nd year in a row.
I would like to thank to Ivo Gombik for lending me few of his wet tires.
