On friday, we met with Giuseppe and Alex, and arrived at the track to start practising. Atmosphere was super good, racing, pizza and fun, all together. My car was pretty good right from the start, and I could test many things in this day. But due to the nature of the track, improving laptimes proved to be super difficult even though feeling of the car changes with different setups.
Saturday we continued testing and with Jan arriving, I could have better tests also with his feedback additional to Alex and Beppe. Nico and Andrea Valerio was also very fast when they switched to Alu flex chassis on this high traction surface. I ended the day with a pretty decent setup which is maybe not fastest but most consistent to drive.
Sunday morning we received the tyres and used the first practise to break-in and testing. In the morning traction was lower because of cold conditions, and also one of my tires were not so good so for the first quali I changed it from my second set. |

Weather was better for 1st quali and traction was increased back. I decided to take it easy and push not so much to have a safe run. This was a right choice as nearly everyone did not have a clean run so I TQ easily.
In the 2nd quali I pushed as much as I can to better my time, luckily without any mistake I made a very good time, and was pretty sure I locked the TQ.
3rd quali I decided to test my second set of tires, which was now working good in high temperature right from the start, so I decided to stay with this set for the finals.
Jan, who had problems in first two qualis finally made a clean run in Q3 which meant he was going to start behind me.

I was very nervous before the final as the German stallion was behind me. In A1 Jan flipped in the first lap and I was super relaxed before completing the first lap I had about 2 seconds to the field. Rest of the race I cruised to the win with no mistakes.
In A2 I was more confident and was going to push harder. Me and Jan started cleanly and pulled away already from first lap. In 3rd lap he touched me entering a corner so I had a body tuck. He waited for a fair play of course, by that time Nico passed both of us. Couple laps later I make attack to Nico and passed in the straight, then I push very hard to pull away. With no mistakes I managed to have the win. Jan finished second, after Nico made a mistake.

This race was very good for me and I met a lot of new Italian friends.
