Race report by Mike Gosvig
The past weekend there was 3rd race of the indoor season in Randers. Patrick Danielsen and me arrivied saturday morning so we could pratice all day to get our XRAY's dialed in to race.

Fast our cars was amazing and easy to drive on the tricky and technical track, where the traction was very strange.

Modified I struggle with traction of the car, but I tested and tested and in 2 qualy i changed to carbon chassis and the car was better agian.
I lost the TQ in round 2 with only 3 thousands of a second!
Finals was a different story, first main a lot of pressure on the Leader Frederik Hovgaard, but we had like the same speed, so we stayed like same distance.

Second main I made a mistake try to go on the inside, so I lost a little bit, Frederik hit a backmarker and I could win the main! - last main agian pressure on from start, second lap Frederik made a mistake out on the straigth so I hit him a little, he could go away with me after but he made a very wide turn end of the straigth so I went on the inside and could make the move side by side to take the lead, after this Frederik made a mistake and Patrick Danielsen could take second place in the main.

I won the main and the race with Frederik in second and my team mate in 3rd! Good job man.

Superstock my car was on fire Saturday, fastest all practice rounds and same on Sunday morning. I could TQ round 1, and I was on tq pace in round 2 after some setup change the car was not better but still ok, last lap I made an mistake and I got 2 place.

Last Qualy I was fastest out of the gate, but second lap car just spun out 2 times in the chicane... so I lost 1.7 seconds - but my car was super fast, so I could really go fast and I could make up the time I have lost, but in the end I still lost the TQ with only 8 thousands of a second...

In the finals I had some very nice battles with Patrick Folman, and I put all kind of pressure on him in every final! I won the second main, and the last main was the deciding one.

I tried everything, outside and inside but I could not make a clean overtake, so we drove over the line with only 1 tenth apart.

Car was amazing all weekend, just bad luck in the Qualys, and I cant wait for the next race!

Race report by Kevin Nielsen
Sunday the 5th November, the 3rd round of the Danish DRCMU series, took place in Randers.

As most of the races in this series, the track is a big roll out carpet track, but the carpet is mostly different from the races. This time it was grey ETS carpet.

Early Saturday morning we arrived at the arena and I was excited to try the track.

Throughout the day, we tested a lot with the car and different bodies. Relatively fast, we found the setup I decided to run for the race Sunday. My Xray T4 was fast, stable and easy to drive, so it was up to me.

Sunday is was time to race and also time to see if my setup and I was fast enough, compared to my competitors.

We started with two controlled practice heats as always. On the first one, we decided to put the old tires from Saturday on my car, as new tires worked pretty good from the start, so saved the race tires for second practice heat.

First qual I ended as 2nd.
Second and third I had to settle with 4th, putting me 3rd on the grid for the finals. In this very high competitive field we have this year, I was pleased with this result, so far. There is absolutely no room at all for mistakes and you have to push 100% all the time to keep up.

The start in all three finals went very well for everyone, so that was nice.

In the first final I was on the 3rd place all the time, but with only a few corners left, the first and second car had a moment, letting me pass to get in front, but only very shortly, as the last corner was a bit slippery, my car got a bit sideways, so lost the first place and ended 3rd.

The second final, perfect start again, but was not able to stick with the two guys in front of me. These two almost had there own battle and I had the car in 4th place right behind my tail, so had to close every door I could, but he managed to pass me and then I was right on his tail to the end of the heat. This final I got 4th.

With only one final left, I knew that I had to keep my position to reach the podium. Last start, everything was nice again and this time I was able to stick with the two guys in front for a while. After a bit, they just pulled slightly away, having there own fight again and me and the car in 4th continued our fight ones again. Sometimes I was faster, sometimes he was faster, so again I had to take some other lines to keep the door closed. By the end, I could pass the finish line with another 3rd place, putting me on the podium to receive the trophy for 3rd place overall.

I would like to thank Randers RC club for a very nice weekend and as always
