Round 3 of XRS Slovenia 2017/18 took place again on the Pik hala - Maribor track.
Drivers from 3 different countries decided to participate at the event and since this was the penultimate round before the final the battle for the championship continued.
Already on Saturday the most of registered drivers were present and practice started already in the early morning.

On Sunday there were 2 controlled practice runs and then we went to the qualifying.
TQ in Touring Stock 13.5 XRS handout category went to Rok Rudl (XRAY T4), second was the young Bjan MikloĹľič (XRAY T4) and third went to Stefan Hois.
In F1 21.5 XRS handout category the TQ went to Herfried Pucher, second was Matej Dobnikar (XRAY X1) and third Alojzij Osvald (XRAY X1).
In 1/12 Pan car TQ went to Nejc Mihelič, second was Jernej Vuga Ĺ tendler (XRAY X12) and third went to Goran Vignjevič (XRAY X12).

In Touring Stock there was a nice battle between Rok Rudl, Bjan MikloĹľič, Patrik PoĹľgaj and Stefan Hois. In all 3 finals Rok was able to win and Bjan was always 2nd. The battle for 3rd place moved Patrik from 4th on the grid to the final podium position.
In F1 Stock 21.5 the victory went to Alojzij Osvald after a thrilling 3 finals. In the first final the TQ driver Herfried Pucher collected a backmarker after he spun, so the lead went to Matej Dobnikar and second was Herfried. In the second final Herfried lead from start to finish with Matej second and Alojzij third. The last race was to deciding for the victory and everybody expected a battle between Herfried and Matej, but Matej made a hard overtake on Herfried and they touched, so Matej had to wait for Herfried and this allowed Alojzij to take the lead. The Matej and Herfried touched again on the same spot, so the battle was only to be for second place. In the meantime, Alojzij did what was necessary â“ making the fastest runâ¦and he did it. So, at the end second went to Herfried and third to Matej.
We would like to thank all the drivers for some nice racing and also the Pik hala track staff.
In about 1 month the FINAL RACE will take place in Medeuzza.
We would like to invite as many drivers as possible, since also the FINAL LOTTERY (about 1000€ of VALUE) and the XRS Slovenia CHAMPIONS will be declared (VIP entry at the XRS GRAND FINAL at the HUDY ARENA ⓠtravel, accommodation, entry fee is GRATIS)
