Just got done with the 9th Annual Top Gun Race at NORCAL Hobbies in San Jose Ca. I ran Mod and 17.5 TC while my team mate ran USGT. The surface was on a parking lot however it was prepped well and VHT was used for spraying the track. Saturday was open practice and Sunday was 2 qualifiers and a main. On Saturday I used aluminum flex on both cars to see how well it would handle and ended up making the switch to carbon. Immediately the cars felt more free through corners. I used FX2 initially but it felt sluggish then tried Yellow MG and car was dialed.
I TQed Mod TC and Won my main by a lot. My tire technique was apply Yellow MG for 15 minutes and reapply use towel and tire warmers for 1 minute and cool off.

For 17.5 I had a shot at winning but I got the bad end of the deal and fell far behind. Iâ™m happy with todayâ™s win. Car was on a different level for sure.
