T4 and X1 win at Speedworld Raceway Club Race, USA

This past Sunday there was a club race at Speedworld Raceway in Roseville, California. I competed in Formula 1 and 17.5 touring car with my X1 and T4 respectively. Other Xray drivers at the race ran Modified touring car and Nitro Sedan. The track was prepped well with soda water and the traction was high the whole day.

All of the qualifying and mains were on Sunday, with Saturday being open practice. In qualifying, I almost got the TQ in both F1 and 17.5, but my nerves got to me in the end of both rounds. I started 2nd in F1 and 4th in 17.5.
In 17.5 TC, I managed to make up a position off the start and had a good battle with two other drivers for most of the race. Ultimately, I worked my way up to 2nd and was quickly catching 1st, but ran out of laps. I finished in 2nd.

In F1 this weekend, there was only me and one other guy (also running Xray). We had a good race, but about 6 laps in, his spur gear let go, leaving me as the only car on track. This decided the race in F1.

My teammates Michael Lee and James Nelson both finished 2nd in their respective racing classes as well (Modified got Mike and Nitro Sedan for James)!
As far as setup, I didnâ™t change anything at all on the cars. My T4 and X1 were dialed and the fastest ones on track in both classes. I do have some plans for trying things in the future though!
