A few weekends ago I attended the Arizona State Championships race. Friday was practice and both my 2wd and 4wd felt good and up to speed.
Saturday was open practice for 2 hours and then a 4 minute seeding round.
For this event they did a cool new race format, it was a 4 minute seeding run (based on your overall time) then you are seeding into qualifiers in ladder format.
In 4wd I TQed and went on to win the main with a good gap. Car was pretty solid. A little hard to drive because of the bumpy high grip track conditions.

In 2wd, I was top seed so I was first in heat 1 and Ashe was first in heat 2. The top 2 of the first heads up race were directly into the main. I had a mistake which allowed ashes time to be a few seconds faster than mine. So I started second on the grid for the main. In warmup for the main my car felt solid, and I was ready to fight it out with Ashe. However on the first lap my right rear foam ripped making the car virtually undriveable to get around the track. I ended up having to pull off after lap 5 â¦
