With over 90 Entries the popularity of the West German Winter Series was shown another Time.
As in the previous 2 Rounds I decided to compete in 3 classes to get a little bit of extra pressure during the weekend :)
The weekend began with a few controlled practices on Saturday, followed by the first out of 3 Qualifiers. On Sunday Round 2 and 3 of Qualifying was held before triple mains brought the final decisions in all classes.
My XRAY XT2 was on rails over the whole Weekend, so I was able to TQ that Class and also win all Finals to take the Overall Win.
In 4WD Modified Qualification, I started from 2nd on the Grid and had to fight with Marcel for the Win. I was able to win the first final, as Marcel won the second one. The third Final began pretty bad as I had a little issue at the start. Lost a couple of spots and knew it was even impossible to catch Marcel who had a clean start. In the end bumped up only to 4th spot, which means 2nd overall.
2WD also went well with the 2nd Spot after the Qualifications. The Finals were a pretty hard but super fair fight with TQ Marcel Schneider. Both of us took one of the first two finals so all came down to the third one. After 7 though minutes I lost that 3rd final just by a few tenth and had to settle for 2nd overall with my Xray XB2C 2019.
