This past weekend I traveled to Morgantown, WV to WFO Raceway for round 4 of the APCS series. This was my first time ever driving on astro turf. Saturday it was warm and the track was dry. I had some really good practice and by the end of the day I had a feel for the turf. I got my setups right and set a new track record in 4wd.
Sunday it was cold and raining on and off. I struggled a little trying to get the cars to handle on the damp turf. I was able to qualify and take 2nd in 4wd and in 2wd. Had a good practice, qual, and main without braking any parts. The cars are very predictable, responsive and consistent. I just couldn't real in first place.
This was at his home track and he knew exactly what to do on the damp turf. This finished up the APCS Series. I finished 2nd in 4wd Mod and 3rd in 2wd Pro for the championship.
