Czech nationals round 3 was held in Brno last weekend. Unusually track direction was clockwise so we had to train refueling when car is coming from opposite direction than as usual. My dad did it ok after few practice attempts. The track layout was very fast. And of course very "tire hungry". We calculated and tested it is not possible to run finals without full tire change. So another practice took place.
On Saturday the weather was not on our side,it rained for most of the day. The qualifying did not start the way I had wanted even though I improved every single qualy, in Q1 I got held up by lap car and lost around 2 seconds and finished 3rd. Between Q1 and Q2 we told the referee to keep the eye on it. He did and in Q2 I improved by around 1.5 seconds and overtook Martin Zvara in standings to get 2nd. In Q3 I made a mistake in the beginning of the run, but i managed to recover and set TQ by over 2 seconds in front of Marcel Dostal. Since the finals were cancelled because of rain the final results were based on qualifying position.
