Race Report by Rob Sorjonen
This past weekend was the series final round 6 of the Northwest Championship Tour.
The track on Friday looked smooth and technical with one Hip jump in the middle designed to slow you down. Lots of drivers in attendance as well as my sweet girlfriend Linda who is coming out to cheer me on and drive a couple classes of her own.

All the cars feel very good in practice and the track looks to be grooving up so maybe a bar tire in qualifying is going to be good.

Saturday, qualifying is under way. The weather report is light rain by late afternoon and we could be cutting qualifying short. In 4 wheel drive Stadium Truck (1/10 Truggy) while still on Holeshot M3 I managed to take TQ in rounds one and two.

In 4 wheel buggy I would go 4th overall round one, second overall round two and DNS round three for a Q3 start on the grid.

In 1/8 E Truggy I would TQ round one and two to secure overall.

The rain came but very lightly during the day so qualifying went ahead. Overnight the rain came and we woke up to a damp but race-able surface. The threat of rain hovered in the morning but held off till around 12 by the time A mains were under way. Rain was light enough that event directors decided it’s safe the run.

In 1/8 E Truggy I took the win ahead of Lee Hackney and Cole Chura.
