XB8 and XB8E win at RC HobbyRacing Cup Rd2, Czech republic

The second round of RC HobbyRacing cup took a place last weekend in Skripov, Czech Republic. This was, after a long time, a race with no rain at all, which allowed us to finally finish the whole race also with the full nitro main. The track was pretty dusty and bumpy, but the organizations made the effort to water it between rounds to get a more enjoyable track time for us.
Qualifying started on the Saturday morning with me TQing both, E-buggy and Nitro. This scenario repeated in the 2 remaining qualy rounds, which meant the overall TQ spot for me in both classes. Ales Bidovsky took the 2nd and Radim Kolek 3rd in Nitro, Stefan Lutka lined up 2nd and Vaclav Krizak 3rd in E-buggy.
In the Nitro my appearance wasn't so good at first, as I had an unfortunate flame out in the semi, but my dad got the engine running again and I took the 7th starting spot for the 30min main. Radim started first in front of Ales and Adrian Lutka. The start of the main was very chaotic as always, but I managed to overtake each and every one during the opening laps to take the lead and pull away. Unfortunately, there was an electricity outage, which lead to stopping the race after 8 minutes. Luckily the results of the race were saved, so we had a new solid start and my lead-gap was deleted. Nevertheless I managed to pull away once again from the 1st starting spot and take the overall win in the end with a mark able gap to 2nd of 2 laps. Ales Bidovsky took the 2nd place and Radim Kolek was 3rd overall.

The E-buggy finals worked out perfect for me, as I took tge Win in A1 and A2 to secure the overall without any real issues. Stefan Lutka fought hard with his XB8E to take the 2nd place with an easy gap to 3rd overall Vaclav Krizak.
