Report by Paul Ciccarello
This weekend was the 19th annual Race Against Cancer. This year 20,000 USD was raised for the cause.

Gaven and I got to the track Thursday but with all the rain they had the track was wet most of the day. We were able to get on the track late afternoon. Since it was wet typos were working the best and both my cars were handling really well. Friday the track dried out some so a mixture of tires were working well so we got some more laps and were ready for qualifying on Saturday.

Saturday came and the track changed more, in the morning the track was very wet and it didn't look like the sun was going to come out but around 10 am the sun was beating on the track and further dried out the track and the temps were started to rise. First round of nitro buggy I used too soft a tire but was able to manage a second for the round, in ebuggy the compound seemed right but chose the wrong tread and had a +8 second mistake on lap one but took a 4th for the round. Gaven was second and Gavin Vucina took the TQ with his XB8E! Second round was pretty decent had good pace but over drove both cars, 4th in nitro and 3rd in ebuggy. Gavin locked up the TQ in Ebuggy so that was cool to see his first TQ at a big race. 3rd round for me is always a throw out because of the night time but I think I chose the right tires and had competitive lap times just made too many mistakes not being able to see as well. It's the closest Ive ever been at night on laptimes to the front runners.

Main day was Sunday. I was starting 4th in nitro buggy and 3rd in Ebuggy. I had a pretty good run in nitro buggy finishing 2nd and after a lot of crazy battles and crashes in ebuggy 2nd place also.

Over all the Xray team did very well, placing 3 cars in the nitro buggy main myself, Gaven and Ethan finishing 2nd and 3rd, 5 in the Ebuggy main finishing 1st and 2nd, Gaven Gibler winning the Ebuggy main and finishing 3rd in nitro. Gavin Vucina finishing 2nd in 2wd, 4 Etruggies in the main with James Doherty finishing second, 3 in the plus 40 ebuggy main with Brad Thomas finishing 3rd, and in the Plus 40 nitro main we we had 2 cars.

Thanks to Adam Curry for the help in the pits and pitting me in the main.
