NT1 and FX300 wins at 5th round of Swiss nationals!
The 5th and last round of Swiss championship was held in the east of Switzerland at Sitterdorf. Fortunately we had no rain this weekend, but it was cold and windy. The air temperature was around 13 degrees.
What can I say about our race weekend? The pace was very good, the whole weekend. But this time the luck wasn't on our side. After taking the TQ spot we had a technical issue, two traction rolls and a flame out in the final. But step by step
From the first practice on my car was already really fast. To make the car more stable and easier to drive I put harder oil in the shocks and stiffer anti roll bars in the car. My package was on point from Friday to Sunday. The car was very consistent to drive and my FX300 was a beast!
In the first 12 minutes of the A-main I had really troubles. With the big tyres, my car flipped in the opening lap. At three minutes mark and after a few overtakes I was back in the lead. Seven minutes later and almost one lap advantage I had one more time a traction roll who ended with an engine cut. After losing 2 laps I was able to recover to P2 behind my teammate Traugott Schar.
Traugott won the race with his FX powered NT1 ahead of Adrian Burren and Emanuele Fonzar. He had a gap of 5 and half laps to 2nd and 3rd place! I'm very happy for Traugott! In the past he had a few times bad luck in the finals. - You really deserved this win!
In the overall championship we achieved an XRAY and FX podium lockout! Stefan Wuthrich finished the season on P3, Traugott Schar is the runner up and I'm the Swiss champion 2021. With my dad Roland on P5 and Patrick Courtet on P6 we had totally five XRAY cars in the top six. I'm proud about our team work during this season!

What a great season for me. I was able to TQ and win four out of five races during this Swiss championship. This achievement will never be possible without the fantastic help and work from Traugott and Monika from T+M Models. Thank you very much for your ongoing support over the last seven years! I hope for a few more years.
The last and biggest thank you goes as always to my wife Sue. Thank you so much for your help during every race weekend and for your perfect job in the pits! It makes me so proud, to see with how much passion and pleasure you work four our goals! You are the key for our success!
