Race report by Zak Finlay
This past weekend saw the XRAY UK team travel to Essex for round 3 of the famous 'EWS - Essex Winter Series' in the UK.

With a new look XRAY team being joined by Martin Hudy for the weekend, it was set to be a good race with lots of opportunity to test and improve setups.

In the 13.5 stock class Zak Finlay was able to take the win in each of the four Qualifying rounds to secure the overall TQ spot for the single leg final.
In total, there were 6 x XRAY X4 lining up in the stock A-Main.

The final saw Zak lead from start to finish to take the win, whilst Marcus Askell would also make the podium, finishing 3rd with his XRAY X4.
This result also secures the overall championship for Zak, with two rounds still to go.

Modified class saw Kyle Branson as the class of the field, leading the way in qualifying to repeat the result of Zak in stock, by taking the TQ spot in every round to line up at the front of the grid.

Martin Hudy also looking to have some very good pace to line up 2nd on the grid for his first attempt at racing in the EWS series. Harley Eldridge would be starting the A-Main from 5th position.

The final was a similar story to qualifying, with Kyle leading away from the pack and executing a perfect run to take the win. Martin Hudy was able to maintain the 2nd position and Harley would also finish where she started in 5th position.

Overall, a fantastic day for the team taking the win in both 13.5 and Modified classes.
The team will return in February for the fourth round of the series, where they will look to make a repeat performance of this round.
