The 2022 ROAR Carpet On-Road Nationals were held at RC Car Club of America (RCCA) in Fort Worth, Texas from March 10-13. There were 163 entries across 8 classes which included the usual 3 TC classes and 1/12 classes, as well as USGT and USVTA.
The host track was the perfect size and location being in the Ridgemar Mall, so plenty of spectators passing by through the week. Traction was pretty low early on in the week but came up pretty quick and by the end, was the highest grip we've seen at a large event like this in a long time. The layout was a pretty good mix of everything but leaned a little more on the technical side. Track owner Chris Adams, his family and crew did a great job preparing for this event and everyone appreciated their efforts! While the temperature was uncharacteristically cold outside, the racing action inside was hot all week with some really close racing in most classes.
