Report by Giuseppe Tescione

I raced the 3rd round of national warmup, with about 80 entries.
We had 3 rounds of qualifying where I managed to finish 2nd on the first 2 rounds and unluckily on the 3rd round my spark plug broke, so I finished 3rd overall and straight to the A main.

During qualifying I tried different types of tires but the track was very bumpy and difficult to drive on, so I needed a better setup to make it easier to drive.
I changed a few things on the car to test in the 10 minutes practice and they seemed to work very well.
In the end before the main I changed the last thing on the shocks which I thought it could help me more having a constant final.
Starting 3rd in the main, I was battling for the 1st place for the first 10 minutes but then a problem at the pit made me lose a few positions. After trying to catch up the 1st place, we finished the fuel on the transponder line. After 45 minutes I was only able to finish 3rd, very close to the 2nd place and with the fastest lap of the race in 38.1.

Happy on how well we worked to find a fast setup as well as easy to drive on a very rough track, my XB8'22 felt so good and ready for the Italian national!
