The forecast at the beginning of last week was foreboding⦠with lots of rain predicted. However, when the weekend came the weather changed and a bright sunshine spilled down on us. Sunny day, beautiful track, and a top group of RC drivers = one fantastic raceday!
The 6th round of the Curitibano Championship of Modified Class was held on October 8, 2006 on the most beautiful track of Paraná ⓠS.T.A.R (www.star-rc.com.br), which is a very big track located in the middle of a green area in Balsa Nova, 40km from Curitiba.

The majority of racers were again using a brushless system. Fabiano Franco and Flávio Salinet were battling until heat 4 with 1 lap ahead of Otávio Langowiski, when Flávioâ™s brushless system cut off and his car stopped for 2 laps. Fabiano was still leading with 1 lap ahead of Otávio and now 2 laps ahead Flávio Salinet, dropping him to 5th place. Heat 5 confirmed that Fabiano Franco was the 2006 Curitibano Championship, giving XRAY TEAM BRASIL the title with 1 race left in the series! Fabiano and Flavioâ™s T2 were amazing, and XRAY TEAM BRASIL found an excellent setup for the S.T.A.R. track.
