12TrackTour III & IV Oulu, Finland 4.-5.3.23
The last two races of the season were run on consecutive days in Oulu. I shared first place in the GT12 class with Oulu's Janne Valtanen, so the championship was decided on the same weekend.
First competition day was a really tight fight with Oulu's own man, Janne Valtanen, but with the fastest time in the second final, I managed to grab the win! I got to start the finals from the pole position, so that made the day easier. With today's win, I also moved to the first place in the series. The car worked great all day and it was easy to drive consistently fast laps without any major changes. The second and at the same time the last race of the season. The winner would also be crowned champion. Valtanen fought really hard for the win, but I managed to grab it for myself just when I needed it. Today the victory of the last race was decided in the second final. I started from the pole position and Valtanen hung on the bumper for the whole 5 minutes, I managed to drive flawlessly and the race win and the series championship was mine! I kept the car the same as the day before, because I knew it would be fast if only I could keep up with it.
I became GT12 class champion two years in a row.
