XRAY is excited to release the next evolution of the XII, the all-new XRAY 1/12 pan car platform: the X12. Direct feedback from factory team drivers, as well as customers from around the world, allowed the XRAY factory to turn a concept into reality… this is what we do best at XRAY. New battery placement means better car balance and weight transfer, and stiffer chassis material and more robust suspension material creates a car that is significantly easier to drive. By rethinking and then creating a completely new geometry where we elongate the wheelbase and widen the front track-width, we created a car that works exceptionally well for beginners, highly-skilled drivers, and everyone in between. And to make a car even easier to work on, we replaced the side shock with newly-designed side tube lateral dampers. Lowered rear bulkheads and an improved rear axle system allow the use of super-small tires while providing a super-low center of gravity.

Say goodbye to XII... say hello to the all-new X12.

4-spring Servo Saver
The X12 features a new 4-spring servo saver which makes the handling of the car smoother and increases steering accuracy. The servo saver consists of 4 springs which makes the servo saver strong enough to prevent extreme steering deflection from impacts, while at the same time being flexible enough to prevent servo damage in hard crashes. The servo saver has interchangeable bushings to fit most popular servos on the market.

Adjustable Reactive Caster
Reactive caster is easily adjustable by using easy-to-change eccentric bushings of 2.5°, 5.0° or 7.5° (included). Reactive caster is used to adjust the amount of caster change when the front end of the car is compressing (diving) or decompressing (rising).

Front Brace

Adjustable Ackermann
The new XRAY XII Link has adjustable Ackermann positions that can be adjusted by adding/removing shims between the servo and servo holders. The composite shims included in the kit come in three different sizes: 3x6x1, 3x6x2, 3x6x3. Ackermann influences the steering of the car, and therefore it is important to make it an adjustable feature.

Rear Pod
The compact and ultra-lightweight rear pod is constructed from high-strength aluminum bulkheads, a rear aluminum brace, and thin but strong high-grade graphite plates. Side bulkheads are CNC-machined from premium extra-hard Swiss 7075 T6 aluminum, additionally black coated for long life and stylish look. Strategic machining of the rear bulkheads reduces weight to a minimum while retaining strength. The new bulkheads are lowered to move the CG even lower and lower the ride height. The smart pod design allows for super-easy motor top access, accommodating brushed or brushless motors. Eccentric composite bushings are included for ultra-fine rear ride height adjustment. Spring-loaded upper and lower damper pads provide addition control of rear pod movement, and grease-retaining grooves in the damper pads ensure equal and consistent friction characteristics.
