William and I had a great weekend racing at the 2017 Granite Leisure Time ‶King of the Dirt. William and I can honestly say that we had our best ever racing experience this weekend. Not for how William placed, which was fantastic, but for the people and new friends we made and raced with. It was an experience like no other. Everything was relaxed, friendly with a feeling of comradery. The way a race should feel. Rob Jones, Cyrus, K2, and the rest of the crew, and of course Matt Olson, the reigning King, just did a great job making it roll! We were able to get our Xray XB8E and our trusty MIP Pro4mance rides dialed in With the Xb8E 17’ we started the day with Proline Suppressors in X3 compound. After 2 rounds we held TQ in both classes, but Matt was just getting to work! That night, Matt, William and crew worked hard getting the surface just so. I did some maintenance, and we went back to the hotel. Sunday we had the last round of qualifying, and the track had gotten a bit rougher but William took the Ebuggy TQ. In Ebuggy main, The XB8E was awesome… William cruised to the win.
