The XRAY NT1 wins on its second outing in Malaysia, with five NT1 cars qualifying into the A finals. This event is hosted by the Niko Sales Centre and is comprised of a total of 5 championship events. The winner of the completed event will take home the Grand Trophy and will receive full support to the Serpent Tour of Thailand 2008.
This round 2 challenge took place in the city centre of Kuala Lumpur at the Titiwangsa Track. The track layout for this round is called the âśMugen Cup Layoutâť because this was the layout used in the Mugen Asia Cup 2005. |

| The Layout |

| The layout starts with a high speed âśSâť chicane followed by a left turn that you need to take closely to the outer barrier to hit the left apex ahead. Followed by a slow 180° right turn and another 180° left turn that then takes you onto the back straight. The back straight has a left curve and if you do not hit the racing line on this curve, you would find yourself on a bump that could throw your car off balance or worse fly completely off the track and into a solid metal fence barrier. At the end of the straights, thereâ™s another 180° left turn and a 20m short straight bringing you to a â triangleâ™ island that needs to be taken at high speed on power right turn and bringing you back to the starting line. |

This was a very tough event with all the top drivers around Malaysia participating in the race. There were 60 participants in 1/10 GP Touring and 30 participant in 1/8 GP on-road. It was a tough final as you can see in the lap chart the 4 top finishers were only split by 2 laps in a 30 minute final. The race pace of Emeel with the NT1 was evident as he kept the other 3 drivers at bay⦠they were unable to reel him in.
