On Nov 1st -2nd, 2008 , the Picco Asia Cup 2008 was held. This was the first Picco Cup in Asia and was arranged at ACO in HK. Competitors from many countries in Asia joined this competition, such as Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, Korea, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, as well as others from around the world.
In total 170 cars were entered , including 1/10th scale World Champion Daniele Ielasi, Alberto Picco and Patrick Schaefer from Europe. |

| I started practice and testing on Friday. The track was set to a smooth, high speed layout. |

Day 1 â“ Saturday, Qualify Day
There were 4 rounds of qualifying on Saturday.
In first qualifying round I did quite well but, unfortunately, ran out of fuel on my last lap two turns before the finish line, but the result was still good in overall rank.
In 3rd round of qualifying, local XRAY driver Samuel Chiu and Thai XRAY driver Charlie Phutiyotin, put in solid runs. The overall qualifying saw XRAY ranked 1-3 with very close times. |

Day 2 â“ Sunday, Final Day
Sunday marked the second and final day of the race, which included the 45-minute A Main.
In the first lap of the A-main, there was a crash with many cars. I got away from the crash group, with local driver Hang and Thai Xray driver Charlie following close behind. Over the next 5 minutes, Charlie ran into engine problems that dropped him back in the pack.
For Hang and I it was a very tight race, until Hang made a mistake and crashed with 10 minutes left, letting me build a solid lead which I was able to hold onto until the finish. |
