The second round of the Portugese South Regional Championship series was held recently.
After a week of rain leading up to the event, the forecast for Sunday morning was looking encouraging, with a beautiful sunny day, perfect for the racing.

33 racers were registered for this round to test their skills against and race for championship points. With a new layout in place, it was evident that the race organizers had worked hard to make sure everyone would enjoy the event.

The rounds of qualification went smoothly and the three drivers running XRAY qualified themselves directly to the semi finals.
The qualifying order was as follows:

5. Francisco Lopes 6. Carlos Borralho XRAY XB808
7. Anthony Fish
8. Carlos Sancho
9. Nuno Rola
10. Ricardo Mamede 11. Miguel Reis XRAY XB808
The semifinal A was won by Nuno Rola.
In semifinal B careful driving helped me secure 2nd position and a spot in the final. Carlos Borralho was unable to finish his race due to a technical issue.

In the final, I was able to withstand the strong competition and secure the win. The racing was very intense and it shows how talented the racers are in this series.
