Race Report by Paul Lemieux
The Reedy race was held in Roseville, California once again at wonderful Speedworld Raceway, Billy Bowerman (Owner), family and crew did a great job prepairing and maintaining the facility for the race.

As usual Scotty Ernst came in to announce and run the race along with Sean Cochran, and they did a great job. Live RC was there covering the event, thanks to Brandon and Josh from Live RC.

The overall turnout was good but with many of the worlds top European and Japanese drivers not in attendance, swine flew being the reason stated by many. The total level of competition was not as the Reedy race normally is, but hat being said the field was still very stout with many Worlds A finalists, European champions and US champions in attendance so it was not to be an easy week!

Thursday:
Thursday was the first day of practice, everyone saw the track 4 times. XRAY had a hand full of team drivers competing in attendance. Both The Euro Steve Weiss and the Native Steve Weiss were there, also Ralph Burch, Jay Fillipow, Drew Ellis, Dave Bowser, Tim Copp And myself.

My car was pretty good right away, early on in practice myself and Rick Howart were setting the pace, by the end of day one Ralph got really fast, also names like Levinin, Weiss, Cyrul, Hoenigl and Volker were starting to get up to speed.

Friday:
On day two of practice it was all the same people going fast, Ralph set one of the fastest practice times early on along with the fastest single laps.

At this point we were all really happy with our T2â€009's. I was down to testing 2 things, Tire sauce and shock oil. The team worked really well together and figured out what we liked. I felt like my shock oil was getting too thin in the middle of the day due to the increasing temperature in the afternoon. So in the morning I used 400r and 500 ft oil and in the afternoon I used 500 and 700 ft oil.

It was a big help to have Steve Weiss and Jay Fillipow at this race, they race asphalt a good bit and were able to answer some important questions and keep bad tests to a minimum for the team. On Friday nite we were all happy with our cars and felt pretty good about the weekend to come.

Saturday:
Saturday was qualifying, the Modified class and the invitational class was combined this year do to the lite turnout. The classes were combined and there was 4 rounds of Qualifying (all Saturday), after qualifying was over the top 21 qualifiers went in to the Reedy Cup division. The reedy Cup division was just like Invitational where the top 21 race each other heads up randomly to decide the winner. In round 1 of qualifying it was XRAYâ€s own Ralph Burch who blistered the track to TQ the first round, round Two also belonged to an XRAY but this time it was I who got TQ for the round. Round 3 belonged to Ronald Volker who got it together, round 4 again belonged to Ronald again. That gave Ronald the overall TQ spot going in to Sundayâ€s racing with myself in second and Hopo Hoenigl qualifing third.

13.5:
This division of the reedy race was also very competitive, EJ Evans was the guy to beat all weekend but the field behind him were scrapping it out all through qualifying with many different points situations, when the dust settled on qualifying. It was EJ who claimed TQ honors, from there it was Korey Harbke in to the two spot on the grid and Kody Knudtson (XRAY) rounding out the top three in qualifying.

In the finals it would be EJ's race pulling out a nice lead in both final 1 and 2 to claim the overall victory in the 13.5 division, the excitement was for the two spot with many drivers having a shot at it with Kody Knudtson , Korey Harbke having the best chance. In A3 Dave Bowser claimed the win to secure the 4th position overall.

Congrats to the the finalists in this class.

Sunday's Reedy Cup
Everyone was excited because it was a fresh start, Saturdays qualifying would be used as a tiebreaker for Sunday but everyone in the top 21 still had a chance to win going in to the day. In round one of heads up it was Volker, Levinin and myself who won our respective races.

In round two it was Levinin, Howart and Hoenigl who took wins in their races. In Rickâ€s and I's heat in round two there was a controversial last corner move/hit and run/harsh pass by myself on the last corner of the last lap, in the end it was ruled as a bad pass and the win was revoked from me and awarded to Rick who did lead much of the race before hand, In the end it was no harm and added some good drama to the weekend.

In round three it was again Juho who took his heat win along with Volker and Howart. This set up a great round 4 for the top two drivers so far, If Volker wins his heat, he wins the championship regardless of what Juho does. If volker looses his heat Juho wins automatically. Juho raced first and won his heat making it a perfect day 4 wins out of 4 races. Ronald raced last and he won his heat as well making him the overall champion. Ronald won 3 out of 4 races today but still claimed the Championship do to his top qualifying position being his tie breaker after the three wins from both drivers were recorded. All in all the race was great. I know that Ralph and I were a bit disappointed with our final result, we both feel that our T2â€009's deserved much much better than our results were able to show.

All in all it was another fun Reedy race, its a shame that many were not in attendance but it still was very a memorable weekend. Thanks to Billy Bowerman and family, Scotty Ernst, and Sean Cochran and all the sponsors of the race for making it happen.
