Race report by Eric Dankel
Last weekend the third round of the South German Qualifying was held at Korntal near Stuttgart. The track was small but very technical and tricky to drive. Fifty (50) drivers attended the race in different classes; in Stock class there were 20 drivers. We had 5 rounds of qualifying, and it was a very tough battle in the Stock class because some drivers used LiPo batteries with 13.5T motors, and some use 5cells with 9.5T motors.

In the 7minute heats the 5cell drivers were only fast until the 4th minute, but afterwards they had no punch during the last 3 minutes. With LiPo it was very consistent during the 7minutes but with a bit less speed and punch.

After 5 rounds of qualifiying the top 10 in the Stock class was like this:

1. Eric Dankel XRAY T3
2. Daniel Sartorius XRAY T3
3. Tim Wahl XRAY T3
4. Daniel Wohlgemuth XRAY T3

5. Tobias Vogel
6. Thomas Günsel XRAY T3
7. Malte Baumkötter

The new XRAY T3 showed a very impressive dominance in the Stock division, no other brand was able to touch the performance of the XRAYs this weekend.

1st A-main:
The start was almost perfect, only Daniel Sartorius had bad luck and retired after the first corner. Eric Dankel cleanly won the first A main, followed by Daniel Wohlgemuth and Tim Wahl after a very hard battle between those two

2nd A-main:
From the start onwards Eric Dankel led, and Tim Wahl was able to overtake Daniel Sartorius in the second lap. After 7 minutes of racing Eric Dankel took the win and the overall victory, followed by Tim Wahl who defends his second position and Daniel Sartorius and Thomas Günsel in 4th.
