The annual Charity Race was held at the nice RC Landia facilities, hosted by Team La Gang, in Scandiano, Italy. The race was sold out with 120 entries divided in four different classes. The XRAY team joined the race to fight for the win.
In the modified class I had a fairly good qualifying to end up 3rd on the grid behind Ronald Völker and Marc Rheinard. As always, the qualifying was close. The track conditions at RC Landia are changing a lot throughout the day. I found it a bit difficult to keep up with the traction increasing, as my car was amazing in the morning, but a bit difficult to drive as traction went higher. Martin Hudy had a really good performance in qualifying to end up 4th on the grid, with another XRAY of Marco Kaufmann from Germany, on 5th. Alessandro Ciaccheri and Niklas Johansson also made the final for XRAY.

In the stock class, Marek Cerny put on a dominating performance to take the win in all qualifyings, in front of XRAY teammate, the young and talented Mattia Collina from Italy. XRAY had 4 cars in the main final, with Alessio Tolomelli and Andrea Retrivi as well.
In 1/12 I had a really strong pace to take a convincing TQ with my well handling X12 2014. The 1/12 category is interesting at this venue because it will be the host of the 2014 EC-A. I went on to win the first two A-mains with a comfortable margin.
In the finals for the Modified class, l had a really good car in A1, challenging Marc for the 2nd position, but unfortunately I made a mistake coming onto the straight. I managed to climb back up to 5th place. In A2, my car had picked up a push and I could not really challenge the leaders, so had to settle for 3rd place. The A3 was going to decide the remaining podium positions. For some reason, Ronald had decided to start also in A3, even after taking the overall win after A2. In the first lap, he made a rare mistake which let Marc by. Ronald was then behind me for the rest of the race with no opportunity to pass. I finished 2nd in A3 which awarded me the 3rd place overall.

Marek Cerny went on to take a strong win in the stock class, followed by Mattia Collina in a convincing runner-up position.
