The 4th round of the RCProf Speedpassion Challenge was held at Budapest on an indoor carpet track. The last race in 2013. XRAY drivers attended 2 touring car categories, Stock 13.5 and Modified.

Race report by János Birinyi:

Using the experience from the previous rounds I could easily found the right setup for the car. The opponents were very strong so I was a bit nervous before the qualifyings, but hopefully I could win all 3 qualifying round with perfect driving and finish with one lap lead in the last, third qualifying. This round secured my TQ position on the grid. The finals: After the start I could get away from the rest of the field, but during the overtaking of the lapped cars they came closer to me so I had to defend my position with cautious driving. Thanks to the stability of the car I was able to stay in rhythm and I won the first final with a close finish. In the second final I could also build a confident 4-5 second lead early and keep a 3 second lead till the finish. This was a perfect day for me.

Zsolt Kálnay Modified:
I found a good setup for this tight, technical track, so I was looking forward for the qualifying however I knew the race will be challenging with very fast opponents. The qualifyings were very close as I thought. Barnabás and me finished all 3 qualifying in less than 0.9 seconds separating us. The third qualifying was the fastest which I unfortunately finished second, but I knew the finals may be promising with this very close pace.

In the first final I was right behind the leader during the final until he made a small mistake which I could use to overtake him and defend my leading position till the finish line. The second final was almost the same, I take the lead after a mistake by my opponent and I knew I had to drive precisely because it's hard to overtake at this tight track. Hopefully I could defend my position and win overall. The car was working great, it was stable and had great steering.
