The 1/8 european championship warm up was held last weekend in one of the most beautiful tracks, Kirchberg, Austria. We had perfect weather all 3 days and a lot of track time. The race started on Friday with free practice and continued on Saturday with practice in heats and one qualifier round. The rest of the qualifiers and semi-finals and finals were held on Sunday. Our factory driver Tobias Hepp decided to join us to find the best possible starting set up for the European Championship as the Kirchberg track is very special with its low traction.
In qualifiers it was local driver who set the TQ in front of Tobias. I made a small mistake in the fastest qualifier and finished 4th. It was hard to compare the car with others as the race was open and drivers could use their own tires.
Tobias was super fast in his semifinal when he lead in front of me but unfortantely 5 minutes before the finish his conroad broke and such I won the semi-final B.

I started 2nd in the final and was fighting for the lead with fast local drivers when my glow plug broke. It was really dissapointing for me as I had very good power as well the car was fast and easy to drive which allowed me to make the fastest lap of the final.
Even though we were really unlucky in 1/8 class we could still celebrate the win in the 1/10 class where Juraj won with a prototype FX engine in front of Igor Liptak who used the FX prototype engine as well. The final was very interesting to watch as Juraj and Igor had great fight for the lead until Igor unfortunately run out of the fuel as his engine was too rich.
Despite our bad luck in 1/8 finals I was happy for both the car and the FX prototype I run. I believe that we have a very good starting set up for upcoming European Championship.
