Report by Harley Eldridge
Well the last Essex Carpet Clash came to an end, with amazing tracks, crew and amazing close racing throughout the whole series! Again from the off my XRAY XB2’24 felt pretty decent! Round 1, I made some adjustments to my Hobbywing speedo and from then it was amazing taking TQ by 8 seconds! Round 2 some small changes to the car and my tyres being a bit less edgyI was able to push a bit more and taking TQ in that round by some distance. Round 3, again I done some speedo settings to try to make it a bit smoother and easier to drive I managed to take TQ, the only 16 lapper of the day and overall TQ to line up pole on the grid. Round 4, gamble on a bit of set up on the car and I went quicker but didn’t feel comfortable and some back markers made it difficult so a P5 in round.

Final 1, I went back to my original set up and from the off my car was a bit edgy but from the first couple of laps I managed to pull a lead and managed to take the win. Final 2, was a bit strange. I made a small mistake on the opening laps, however managed to make a move on Erik at the end of the straight. A few laps in 2nd and Kyle managed to find himself under a jump… this let me to take the win and overall win of the day!
Final 3 I gambled again on motor choice and set up and was loads better so have a good start for MKGP and next year!
I took the overall win on the day and championship!
