At the weekend the German 1/12 Nationals took place at the beautiful club of MAC Siersburg. After some struggle in fridays free practice and some intense
setup work with the team, things got better and better. I could TQ Modified in the last qualifier for the mains. Also veteran Heinz Dewald made the A in Modfied.
Mika was the overnight TQ in GT, closely followed by his little brother Louis. In the end Louis took TQ in the last qualifying round. In GT also Dirk Elsebusch showed a great pace and veteran Chris Grenz also was fast, both making the A-Main in GT for Xray as well. Great job guys. In 13.5 Stefan Schulz was fast too, but some bad luck hold him back for more. In the end Stefan made the A main, together with Jaques Libar and you talented Philipp Lischke, who improved his skills a lot of the last years. The finals were very tempting with some great racing skills and the crowed besides the track going wild.
In a very close battle with Christian Donath I could win two out of three finals, which gave me the overall win in 1/12 Modified. Feel pretty much thankful for all Xray does for me, took some time to be back on the middle spot of the podium. In GT it was superclose as well. Mika won the first final, Dirk Bräuer won the second final and Louis had two second spots. So all was decided in the third final. When the tone rang Louis took off and was gone. He won the final by quite a margin. Now it was a battle between Dirk and Mika for the entire 8 min race. Mika needed a 2nd to win overall, but some little mistakes gave Dirk second spot. This gave Louis the overall win.
