Report by Paul Crompton
First round of the ebuggy national at Herts, this was the first time running the new XB8e 24 and first time running 1/8 since last year. So expectations weren’t very high.
However on the Saturday it didn’t take to long to get back in to things and was upto to pace by the end of the day.
On the Sunday the weather took a turn for the worse in typical British fashion raining all morning which meant the track was a bit different to the day before.
This wasn’t a bad thing as first run out managed to TQ which was a bit of a shock, track stayed fairly similar for round 2 and managed another TQ.
3rd round is where things started getting a little more challenging as the track was drying and tyre choice was key and for the rest of the day just never seamed to be on the right tyre however managed a 3rd in Q4 which put me on pole for the finals.
I have to say the finals definitely didn’t go to plan party due to bad tyre choices and a bit of bad driving due to low light but was still really happy to come away 3rd overall.
Massive congrats to Erik Lykke on the win and Jonny Skidmore RC on taking 2nd.
As always cars electrics were on point and huge thanks to all my sponsors who make this happen.
