Report by Maty Knopp
The last race of the Czech Masters Series onroad took place again in the hall in Prague Dubec. A nice track layout, again improved lighting and a canteen in the entrance part of the sports hall awaited the drivers.
In the Modified category, due to the absence of some drivers, the overall winner was already clear (Maty Knopp), so the fight for other positions was interesting.
Maty Knopp won all the qualifying runs and claimed the TQ. The second place was taken by Marcel Dostal and the third place was taken by Karel Dolezal. Marek Fric qualified fourth, having jumped out of the 1/12 category for the first time in a long time.
In the first two final runs Maty managed to make a lead and thus get his third win in a row at CMS. The other places were interesting and fair fights. In the last final run, where Maty did not start, Zdenda Benes won the race and thus considerably shuffled the standings.
In the stock 13.5T category the scenario was very similar to the Modified category. Simon Horák led from the first minutes and confirmed his dominance in qualifying and in the final runs, where he won.
Jiri Jarolimek Jr. finished second and his father came in third place in the final races when Jiri Svoboda was not as lucky as he would have wished.
