XRAY TQ-ed Touring Expert and successful in Modified class
The qualifiers for one of the most highly anticipated and most competitive touring car race in 2003 are over. XRAY team had great success in both the Modified and Touring Expert classes. All team drivers are using new upgrade parts that proved to be a great performance improvement, and the brand new T1 Raycer was raced as well. The competition in the Modified class is really only the highest one, no wonder, the best drivers met for a battle. The qualifiers were so competitive that even such top drivers as Brian Kinwald (too many titles to list) and World Vice Champion Barry Baker were unable to edge into the A final.
It is interesting to note that in both Expert and Modified classes, only three different car manufacturers qualified for the A final - XRAY, Losi, and Associated. Three completely different cars with three different transmissions proving that all top cars are at the same performance level; the big differences being the top drivers behind the car who make the win at the end.
In the Touring Expert class, the proportion of cars is: four XRAYs, three Losis, two Associated, and one unknown at this moment! In the Modified class the proportion of cars is three XRAYs, four Losis, and three Associated. Great and balanced competition and definitely a great success for XRAY, being the youngest industry manufacturer. This gives XRAY a lot of confidence for continuing making only the best.
We have been looking forward for great finals on Sunday. The battle will be definitely thrilling one as (unusually) there is only one final run, so everything still can be changed and everybody can take the prestigious victory. Watch out!
