Our team drivers Jimmy Qian and Lu Yi Heng attended the Shanghai RCI V2 round 5. The temperature dropped from 15°C to 5°C during the day and drivers fought all day with very low traction. In TC category Jimmy Qian got the TQ after 3 rounds of qualification 2 sec ahead of Justin (Hong Kong). With almost the same lap time it was only about not making mistakes.
Final 1 went exactly like qualification. Jimmy took the lead right after the start and keep it till the end. In final 2 with low traction he made few mistakes and ended up 4th. Unfortunately he was not able to finish final 3, so overall he got 3rd place.

In 1/12 category the MTS regulations were applied, so everyone has the same conditions. As RCI is currently a high-speed track and the gear ratio was restricted, Lu Yi enhanced his speed with increased rollout. During the competition, he set his car with 43.7mm front tires, 44.0mm rear tires, rollout 72mm. A brand new pack of battery was used before the race. There were 3 rounds qualifications in the morning, Lu Yi got the 1st position and was TOP qualified into finals.
In the second lap of the first final his car slowed down and small incident made him loose his position. He then pursued the leader whole race but was short on time to gain back the first place. Next 2 final runs it was a wire to wire win for him and he took the overall win.
