Last weekend on the beautiful track of Gubbio was held 1/10 Italian Championship. My car was superfast since free practice. I was always in top 3. On Saturday we made 4 qualification rounds and the best was used for the ranking.
So, in my first round (the fastest) I tried to push hard and it was a very close run with 4 cars in .4 sec!!! I've lost .4 in last lap but I was direct Main finalist with 4th best time at the end of Qualify.

The main final was a very exciting race. I started controlling tire wear and refueling in 5 minutes. At 25' I've made superfast tire change (lap time in only 46"!) and I came out of the pits leading the race.
In last minutes I had to control my team mate David Loppini that has done one more refueling than me. So I was able to manage my 3" gap and cross the finish line in 1st position and became 2016 Italian Champion! My team mate David Loppini completes XRAY party finishing in 2nd position.
Many congrats also to my team mates Alessio Menicucci (finished 4th), Dante Piersante and Alessandro Brunelli. 5 XRAY cars in main final!!!
In F1 category Francesco Annunziata claims 2nd place putting another XRAY on the podium.
