The fourth & final round of 1/8E&IC buggy Czech nationals took place last weekend in Kolin. Despite it had been raining from Monday untill Thursday, home club did absolutely amazing job and prepared the track for Saturdayâ™s race.
As the track was still a bit wet and muddy I decided to skip practice to save the cars for the race. In 1/8E qualifications my Orion powered XB8E'16 took TQ in Q1&Q3, which meant overall TQ (skipped Q2 as there had been a small rain before the round). Young XRAY guns Max Gotzl and Milan Mudra finished 2nd&3rd! In 1/8IC my car was perfect, but tech. issues meant 7th place. Overall TQ went to Jiri Mara and Max in 2nd and Frantisek Kalenda in 3rd!
In 1/8E final I made a wrong choice with tyre pattern, but as the mud covered all the tyre after 1st minute, the choice didnâ™t ´t really matter and my XB8E'16 took the win - 4 TQs & wins from 4 races!!! Milan Mudra finished 2nd and Max Gotzl 3rd - 3rd TOP 3 for XB8E'16!

| In 1/8IC my semifinal started really good, but few mistakes in the end meant I lined up as 5th to the final! In final Jiri Mara made a gap to the rest of the field, but faced some tech. issues towards the end of the run. Then I made my way to the lead, but made few mistakes in the end, which let XB8'16 of young Milan Mudra to take the win! I finished 2nd and Max Gotzl 3rd! |
