Round one of the BRCA 1/12 championship would be run by the popular Eastbourne club. The club put on a great event and catering along with a challenging race track for the drivers.

On Saturday all the competitors would race in the 13.5 stock class. This provided some extremely close racing with fractions of a second splitting the field. Olly Jefferies would qualify second on grid behind multiple world champion David Spashett after a hard battle throughout all of the qualifying rounds. The final would see Olly take the lead on the first corner and lead most the race, nearing the end of the eight minutes David Spashett would close and make a pass at the end of the main straight to take the victory with Olly in second.

Final results 13.5 stock class:
1. David Spashett
2. Olly Jefferies - XRAY X12
3. Mark Stiles

Sunday would see drivers competing in the new 6.5 class. The cars now slower than the previous Open modified class but combined with the tricky track still proved challenging. Olly would dominate the day taking fastest time in three of the four qualifying runs to take TQ. The final would see Olly pull away at the start then control his pace throughout taking an unchallenged victory.

1. Olly Jefferies - XRAY X12
2. Ollie Payne
3. Mark Stiles.

Round two will see the drivers head north to the perminate venue at MB Raceway.
