Sunday the 20th of November seen round 2 of the increasingly successful first season of the CIWC XRS get going. It was yet again a well attended round with 115 entries registering to race!

With all the changes made to the CWIC this year with the support of the XRAY racing Series little has gone better than the new Hudy Carpet tire the new tires have been very well received by the races with racers achieving great race life and excellent grip properties with minimal set up changes. Tying in with the Hudy tires the CWIC XRS has adopted a control additive the Hudy Carpet Gripper V2 was selected and is being used with great effect.

This year´s CWIC XRS has also seen the emergence in the UK of the Hand out motor ProStock class this is by far the largest and most competitive class of the CWIC XRS 2016/17 season the new HobbyWing Justock 13.5 G2 has been a roaring success with its great looking design and reliability and importantly pace!

Round 2 sees another first the roll out of the XRAY Junior support program competing Juniors got the chance by means of a lottery to pit with and be coached by a XRAY superstar the lucky juniors for this round Keelan Fowler and Ben Kirkham both had the skills of Zak Finally and Jimmy Maddison assisting them to better set up their car and improve their race craft!

With the track being a great combination of technical and fast sections it encouraged some great racing with plenty of overtaking and little in the way of contact! This round also seen the implementation of straight line grid for the finals to try and stop the race to corner 1 pile ups! In the most part it was highly successful some minor tweaks for round 3 will see this as a great implementation.
