The NOOB club race series for 2WD buggies held its 2nd round this past weekend in Singapore. Running on a loose dirt / low traction carpet mixed surface track, XRAY Singaporeâ™s Dennis Chiang decided to challenge himself by running the XB2C 2017 Carpet Edition for the race.
On the challenging track, Dennis completed a steady qualifying by putting his XRAY XB2C third on the grid for the A-main. In the A-main Leg 1, Dennis was able to get the most from his XRAY XB2C and secure the crucial leg 1 win as his main rivals made mistakes during the race. In Leg 2, Dennis secured 2nd after a race long battle with Sean who started in P2, while Mark finished first. Leg 3 of the final was washed out as a thunderstorm descended on the track just before the start. The overall results would be based on the 2 legs that had been completed, with Dennis taking the overall win on a tie-break based on his faster finishing run in Leg 1.
