Perfect conditions all weekend with temps around 24C and nice blue skies to start the event, Friday morning we had controlled practice and just played with setup a little more and finally had a good setup to start Rd1 of qualifying. Track was in the best condition low temps and medium to high traction. Round 1 ended up being the quickest times for the weekend and i ended up 4th, but no rocket rounds and qualifying to be determined by points. Best 4 rounds out of 6 to be counted.
Had a good qualifying run but had a few mistakes in 3 of the 6 qualifying runs which hurt my overall points and ended up 6th overall after qualifying which seen me into a semi final as car 1. Start of the 20 minute semi final had a great start and by the end of the 1st lap i already had a 4 second lead over 2nd place. Came to first round of pit stops had a 1 lap lead over 2nd place and just went into cruise mode and brought the car home in 1st with a 4 lap lead over 2nd place.

Started the 30 minute A final as car Number 5 so went into the start of the final with a cautious mentality to get around and complete the first lap cleanly. Had a great start and got around the first few cars and by the end of the 1st lap was in 2nd position and trying to chase 1st place. But got nervous and clipped an apex and lost 2nd position and put me back to 3rd. Got settled back down and kept pushing. 2nd pit stop and race leader Jeff Hamon had a flame out in the pit stop which saw him come back out in 4th position and moved me into 2nd to where i would finish. RX8 ran flawlessly all weekend, Big thank you to Ben Dunn for all the pit work during the weekend.
