It was my first time running pro classes so I was pretty pumped about it. Levi Jackson and his team did an AWESOME job keeping the track ready to race on despite all of the crazy rain conditions.
Throughout qualifying and practice, both cars were feeling great. I qualified 3rd in E-Buggy round 1 and 15th in nitro buggy. A HUGE HUGE HUGE shoutout to Mr. Zeb Morton for all of your help. This guy sure knows his stuff and helped me countless times to keep me in the race. Round 2 I qualified 6th In E-Buggy and 14th in nitro buggy. We made a few more adjustments to the Nitro Buggy to make the car feel a bit more like the E-Buggy. Round 3 battled Donnie Ward Jr. Pretty much to the line and he came out on top, and in nitro I would step up my game up to 8th overall with some pretty stiff competition.
Sunday morning they wanted to do a dash for cash in the mud. I was peer pressured into doing it by friends and my mom. But in the first corner my axle nut came loose at the diff taking me out of the race. Better to find out now than during the Main, so thanks for the pressure guys!!!!

Mains came around and in my nitro buggy main I had a very rough start and made my way up to 3rd with about 5 minutes left and then passing 2nd in the pits do to the Super fast pitting by Donnie Ward and my mom Christian Burison Schimmel. I would take 2nd and bump into the A. In the first A main for nitro buggy I got a great start off and got all the way up to around 8th in the first lap. I kept pushing hard and was even battling the leaders for a while and then fell to 6th and held it until the last lap where I wrecked and a marshal stuck his finger in my flywheel shutting my car off.. Thanks Marshall guy who screwed my Main. Anyway, round 2 was still fun packed action and finished 10. Round 3 I was tired of playing games and I raced my butt off and got all the way up to 7th and was battling for the 6 place spot and finally I crashed onto the straight away and I took home 9th overall.
E-Buggy main my car was glued to the track I was putting down crazy fast lap times and even got a low 28 as my fast lap. I battled Lil Donnie Ward pretty much from start to finish and took 2nd place overall right behind the big man himself Joe Bornhorst!!!
It was an awesome weekend. I got to hang out with tons of friends and learned a lot. Thanks to Jeremy Moser for the awesome cooking and mechanical pit dude.
